Students from Batch 14 of the Faculty of Law, SIMAD University, who are studying Company Law, carried out an educational field visit to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, particularly the Company Registration Office.
During the visit, the students received a detailed briefing from the Head of Revenue in the Registration Department, who explained:
- The procedures and requirements for company registration
- The documents required from applicants
- How business licenses are requested and issued
- Common errors made during registration and how they can be corrected
The students were accompanied by the mooting and Advocacy Coordinator, and had the opportunity to tour:
- The Company Registration Office
- The Licensing Section
- The Office of the Director of Registration
The Ministry’s leadership, including the Director of the Registration Office, warmly welcomed the students and highlighted the value of understanding how legal and administrative processes function within government institutions.
